The past 75 years of Israeli apartheid has violently expelled Palestinians from their own land and murdered them en masse. The past 16 years of Israeli apartheid has kept 2.3 million people hostage in the open air prison of Gaza, over half of them children, living without access to basic rights.
This week Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told civilians to leave Gaza as Israel prepares to launch an assault which will “be everywhere and with all our might” and “turn it into a ruin”. Palestinians are imprisoned and cannot leave.
Rishi Sunak announced Britain “unequivocally” stands with Israel, offering Netanyahu “any support he needs” despite Israel having the 4th strongest military in the world. A number of European countries have suspended aid funds to Palestine.
